IDLEWILD GIVES BACK
idlewild GIVES BACK
At Idlewild Music Fest, our vision extends far beyond the stage. We believe that music is a catalyst for unity, inspiration, and positive transformation in our community.
That’s why Idlewild Music Fest is proudly produced by Idlewild Gives Back, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to enriching lives in Zebulon and the surrounding region.
Idlewild Gives Back is rooted in the belief that cultural events can spark real, lasting impact. Our nonprofit wasn’t just formed to host an annual festival—it was created to serve as a year-round engine for community growth, empowerment, and support. Through this organization, we are able to invest in programs that offer music education for youth, provide resources to local schools, and promote economic opportunities for artists and entrepreneurs.
Our commitment is reflected in every aspect of the festival. Our goal for the organization is to have proceeds from Idlewild Music Fest help fund scholarships, mentorship programs, and community initiatives that address local needs of musicians.
When you attend or sponsor Idlewild Music Fest, you’re not just supporting a vibrant cultural event—you’re joining a larger movement to uplift, connect, and empower our community. With Idlewild Gives Back at the heart of our festival, together we can ensure that the music never stops making a difference.

Our Mission
Idlewild Gives Back is dedicated to supporting local musicians, fostering creativity, and building a stronger, more connected community.
How We Give Back
- Local Charity Partnerships: Each year, a portion of fest proceeds goes directly to Zebulon-based charities and community projects. Past partners have included food banks, youth mentorship groups, and environmental initiatives.
- Music Education Grants: We fund music programs at local schools, helping provide instruments, lessons, and opportunities to aspiring young musicians.
- Volunteer Days: The Idlewild team and fest-goers roll up their sleeves for annual community service days—cleaning up parks, planting trees, and supporting neighbors in need.
- Artist Spotlights for a Cause: Select performances at the fest feature benefit sets, where artists raise awareness and donations for causes close to their hearts.
